We believe that church should be overflowing with musical and creative expression that glorifies our incredible God. Music captivates, engages, inspires and communicates a timeless message of life, hope and love to new generations. Skylark’s worship department is called Extol and we are passionate about the presence of God.
Open to all, regardless of ability level, we have an incredible team of singers, musicians, creatives and technicians and are always looking for new people to join us. Extol meets on a Thursday evening in term times to worship together, get inspired, learn new skills and new songs. So, whether you are an accomplished musician or simply love to worship, we would love you to get involved.
Here at Skylark Church, we don’t pray out of ritual, routine or religious duty but from a place of relationship with a Father who loves to communicate with us.
That relationship is at the heart of who we are and all that we do – which means that prayer plays a vital role across the life of our church. Our prayer happens both informally and formally as well as on an individual and a corporate level. We have several different forums specifically designated to seeking and hearing God for our city, nation and world.

From hospital visits to meals, the team helps people in a range of very practical ways. We also run a regular marriage course, which has proved a valuable resource for many in the church and beyond.
Working with our amazing volunteers and a number of partner agencies across the city, we have massive vision to see our community blessed and transformed.
Through our BREATHE principles we encourage a healthy rhythm of life and our 1-2-1 model enables us to cultivate strong relationships both with God and with others.

Skylark Kids is for children from age 3 through to school year 6, an unmanned crèche is available for 0-2 year olds.

Our passion is to help everyone we come into contact with to flourish so that this generation is empowered to positively impact the world around them. There are always loads of exciting things happening for our youth, so for more details of our various programmes please get in touch!
Senior Gold is our ministry to those who are more advanced in years and want to meet together for fun, fellowship and friendship. There are a number of mid-week meetings that are set up to facilitate this.
Our vision is to empower our men to lead lives that honour God and expand His kingdom both at work and at home. We provide a fun, relaxed and safe environment for guys to get to know each other, build friendships, share with each other and support each other to be more Christ-like.
We want to see women empowered and released to be all that God has called them to be and to live in freedom and in truth. We have a series of events and programmes through the year, so for more details please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
A bible study life group also meets twice a month on Friday evenings and, for our regular hearing Sunday morning church services, we have a great team of signers.
